Joshua Bredimus: Massage from Thailand and Sweden

Joshua Bredimus co-wrote a study comparing Thai massage to Swedish massage.

How does one compare massage technique? Did Joshua Bredimus and his co-authors go to Thailand and Sweden, or did they simply look at books about how massage was developed in Thailand and Sweden?

Bredimus and his co-authors in fact used 53 study participants, who were randomly assigned to receive Thai massage or Swedish massage. The study concluded that Thai massage is as effective as Swedish massage "on general physiological and psychological outcomes".

Joshua Bredimus' research has given massage enthusiasts one more reason to visit Thailand and Sweden: maintaining good health.

Kristin Bredimus: Managing Music

Kristin Bredimus has her own artist management company, Radar Rising, operating out of Boston. An avid music fan, Kristin Bredimus was also a judge for M.E.A.N.Y. Fest 2005 and the Conference and Music Director of the NEMO Music Festival in Boston.

Kristin Bredimus also co-produced a video for Hero Pattern called "Monster". You can read Kristin's review of Blake Hazard's debut CD to get a feel for her view of the Cambridge pop rock community.

Her impression of Spokane's "Able Bodies" CD on Richmond.com might lead one to think that Ms. Bredimus has an eclectic taste in music.

Making Hit Records, Baby

To your right of this post and a little down, are the links (who's there and why another day). One of them www.richmondrootsrevival.com gets a mentioned in the weekly Sound Off column in richmond.com. Apparently there's a new writer doing it too- Katherine Houstoun. Don't know what happened to Kate Bredimus.

Well, we found this little press release on Richmond.com's Web site. It explains what happened to Kate Bredimus:
Replacing Curran in her former role of associate editor is Kate Bredimus. Bredimus joined Richmond.com in 2001 and began writing the Web site?s music column, "The Scene." In 2003, Bredimus was promoted to music editor. In her new role as associate editor, Bredimus will continue covering the Richmond arts and entertainment scene as well as the music beat. Before joining Richmond.com, Bredimus attended Virginia Tech where she graduated in 1999 with a degree in English.

So, Kate moved up but not out. Way to go, Kate Bredimus!

Kate: That Bredimus Girl Gets Around

Kate Bredimus introduced Richmond's Style readers to Liza Kate, an acoustical musician from Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, and other parts of America in March 2006.

A professional journalist, Ms. Bredimus also said "Easily the best movie of the year. That Legolas is one fine elf." of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in Richmond.com's 2003 wrapup of popular movies.

CD Baby also quotes Kate Bredimus' comments in a review of "Driftwood: count the stars". She wrote:
Songs slip and slide through acoustic and electric, flourid and spare arrangements, but all convey the same earnestness and unrest that strives for epic and universal proportions...

Dragon*Con's review of RockBot even quotes Kate Bredimus' review of the group, where she wrote:
It's a giddy joyride through video game fantasia and pop confection with metal muscle.

Keep your eyes on Kate Bredimus. She'll be writing more things people want to quote.
