The Bredimus family has grown through the centuries. Many people may not be aware of this fact, but the Bredimus family name goes all the way back to Roman times. So even though the Bredimus family was concentrated in what is now Luxembourg for nearly 2,000 years, they have been moving around the globe for over 100 years. Members of the Bredimus family, having connections to European aristocracy, moved to America in the 1800s and began making new lives for themselves.

The Bredimus Family Web site contains a history of the family written by one of the Bredimus aunts. It's very interesting.

The Old Newark Web site lists old marriage records that the site administrator will research for a fee. Apparently, several Bredimus family members were married there in the mid-1800s.

A cool genealogical resource allows you to search on the name Bredimus to find old public records mentioning members of the Bredimus family.

Another geneaological research site shows another Bredimus marriage from 1904.

Anna Bredimus lived in Iowa in the 1800s, where she married Charles Weiser. Clearly, many members of the Bredimus family migrated to America from Europe. There is a book available that offers "a complete genealogy of all the inhabitants of the community of Stadtbredimus (Luxembourg)". 13,000 names are recorded and traced. The Bredimus family is more like a clan, really.

Susan Bredimus on Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners

Susan Bredimus was approved for licensing by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners in 2005. Her application for Licensed Associate Counselor was approved in March 2005 (.PDF file warning) and announced in September 2005 (.PDF file warning).

Susan makes the Bredimus family proud, especially considering that the Board's Web site says they have a backlog for license renewals. It's good they found time to review and approve applications for new licenses.

The Arizona Board of Behvaior Health Examiners was only created in 1989 for the purpose of certifying social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and substance abuse counselors. The first certificates were not issued until 1990 but by 2000 more than 5800 professional counselors and therapists had been licensed in the State of Arizona. Certification became mandatory on January 1, 2004.

Joshua Bredimus co-wrote a study comparing Thai massage to Swedish massage.

How does one compare massage technique? Did Joshua Bredimus and his co-authors go to Thailand and Sweden, or did they simply look at books about how massage was developed in Thailand and Sweden?

Bredimus and his co-authors in fact used 53 study participants, who were randomly assigned to receive Thai massage or Swedish massage. The study concluded that Thai massage is as effective as Swedish massage "on general physiological and psychological outcomes".

Joshua Bredimus' research has given massage enthusiasts one more reason to visit Thailand and Sweden: maintaining good health.

Kristin Bredimus: Managing Music

Kristin Bredimus has her own artist management company, Radar Rising, operating out of Boston. An avid music fan, Kristin Bredimus was also a judge for M.E.A.N.Y. Fest 2005 and the Conference and Music Director of the NEMO Music Festival in Boston.

Kristin Bredimus also co-produced a video for Hero Pattern called "Monster". You can read Kristin's review of Blake Hazard's debut CD to get a feel for her view of the Cambridge pop rock community.

Her impression of Spokane's "Able Bodies" CD on Richmond.com might lead one to think that Ms. Bredimus has an eclectic taste in music.

One of them www.richmondrootsrevival.com gets a mentioned in the weekly Sound Off column in richmond.com. Apparently there's a new writer doing it too- Katherine Houstoun. Don't know what happened to Kate Bredimus.

Well, we found this little press release on Richmond.com's Web site. It explains what happened to Kate Bredimus:

Replacing Curran in her former role of associate editor is Kate Bredimus. Bredimus joined Richmond.com in 2001 and began writing the Web site?s music column, "The Scene." In 2003, Bredimus was promoted to music editor. In her new role as associate editor, Bredimus will continue covering the Richmond arts and entertainment scene as well as the music beat. CD Baby also quotes Kate Bredimus' comments in a review of "Driftwood: count the stars". She wrote:
